The Sharperson Heritage Museum:
The
plan was developed and base upon the criteria of the
late Georgian Style called the Federal Period, an
example: The White House, Washington, DC. The museum,
(the larger building) has two other buildings that are
linked and supports the functions of this great
palatial building: an auditorium and
Acadian house.
My architectural philosophy was to design a building
that would reflect upon the historical traditions of
the South. The southern building style consists of
many Georgian styles that dominated the American
landscape that were built by the earlier settlers.
